9 even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul is writing to the church of the Thessalonians. He is writing about what will happen prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Verse 3 speaks of the falling away. The falling away is the apostasy that we are actually experiencing now. America, Europe, Canada and many of the churches that are in them are falling into damnable heresy. Apostasy is the abandonment of Christianity and the true word of God. We are experiencing this now. We should be able to understand at least to some degree what the Bible is talking about because we are experiencing a falling away in our culture and our world.

The harsh penalty for rejecting Christ

There are those that have heard the word of God. They have been witnessed too. They have heard sermons. They have heard of the saving Grace of Jesus Christ yet they have rejected him. They have rejected salvation. The Bible tells us that because they have rejected Christ they will be deceived through sinful means. This is a curse of deception over their mind. They are incapable of escaping this veil over their blinded eyes because it is supernatural.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2 Thessalonians 2:11

The word delusion in “strong delusion” is translated from the Greek word plané (πλάνη). It is a wandering of the mind. It is a supernatural straying of the mind. This is not natural or normal.

Calling evil good and good evil

Greek 4106:

πλάνη, πλάνης, ἡ, a wandering, a straying about, whereby one, led astray from the right way, roams hither and thither (Aeschylus (Herodotus), Euripides, Plato, Demosthenes, others). In the N. T. metaphorically, mental straying, i. e. error, wrong opinion relative to morals or religion:

Their minds will supernaturally stray in reference to what is right and wrong. They will stray in what is moral and what is not. This is a curse brought upon them by God himself. This complete insanity that is so powerful that it is beyond comprehension is all supernatural. But Why? Why would God do such a thing? The scripture has already told us. It is because they have heard the word of God and rejected it. If you hear the word of God and you put it off for another day you have rejected God’s word.

This should absolutely scare everyone. If you reject God you might not even be able to think sanely. You are not in control over your own mind. This scripture is referring to those that have rejected Jesus and will be deceived into following the Anti-Christ. He will be able to easily deceive them and have them do his will. If you were wondering how a Muslim, homosexual, atheist and pagan would ever follow and worship the antichrist, this is how. We do not know who he is yet we can see easily how this will happen. It is already happening today. We can see how people in a short period of time can completely change their morals and values and follow after satanic ideas. There are spiritual forces driving this world.

Knowing the Season

The Bible tells us that we do not know the day nor the hour of the second coming of Jesus Christ but we can know the season. Christians have always held scripture up in the days they were living to see how well the pieces fit. They did it in the days of Nero, Napoleon and Hitler just to name a few. There are some that believe these scripture versus surrounding the second coming of Christ have already been fulfilled during the times of the Roman Empire. However just like all other moments in history not all of the pieces lined up.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Matthew 24:36

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

1 Thessalonians 5:1

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

1 Thessalonians 5:4

If you had been a devout Christian during the rise of Hitler you would definitely have been wondering how the events of that time related to Bible prophecy. We now know that both World War 1 and World War 2 were significant in Bible prophecy and were what helped bring about the rebirth of the Nation of Israel. Hitler was a type of Anti-Christ. He was not the one mentioned in the book of Revelation though. Just like the first coming of Christ, the second coming will all fit perfectly. Jesus will return in the flesh as the scriptures tell. He does not need a new body and does not need to be birthed from a woman which has already been done. He has a risen, perfect body that is visible.

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Acts 1:9-11

How do you reach someone that calls evil good and good evil?

Scripture tells us that they are blinded and won’t be able to comprehend true morality. They will oppose it thinking their way is the moral way. The reason however is because they have rejected Christ. They use to have a saying in the church which says, you have to catch the fish before you can clean it. In other words don’t focus on the sin, focus on the salvation and let God deal with the sin. Focus on the reason that caused their delusion. Focus on Jesus. They don’t agree with the morals and values but remember the anointing breaks the yolk. Pray for that anointing and allow Jesus to be real.

We all know the scripture verse from the book of Isaiah that speaks of those that call evil good, and good evil but through studying we can see a similar verse in the New Testament and this New Testament verse gives us a very alarming reason as to how something like this could happen.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20

Sanity is a gift from God

When someone says that they do not need God it just shows how absolutely 100% ignorant they really are. Even the Church today is ignorant on this let alone the agnostics, atheists and God haters. Being in your right mind, thinking properly, having your sanity, clear thinking is a gift from God. Without God we would all be crazy. Next time you think you don’t need God just remember that anyone that is in their right mind is that way because of God. I just mentioned a lot of different topics that include various aspects of the mind and thinking but all are a gift from God.

Nebuchadnezzar was extremely proud. We won’t get into his blood lust and extremely short temper. He however puffed himself up like he was god. As a result God took his understanding from him for a time. In the same hour that God declared it his mind had gone from him. Afterwards Nebuchadnezzar said that his understanding came back to him. The Hebrew word for understanding is manda (מַנְדַּע). It translates to understanding, knowledge and reason. In other words this was a gift from God and God took it from him.

31 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.

32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.

34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

Daniel 4:31-34

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom & knowledge

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:

And the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge:

But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7

The Bible tells us much about wisdom and fear. It is easy to see that in our culture of plenty and prosperity we would become full of pride, selfishness and unaware of God. There are those that claim to be Christian that have said they don’t need God’s spirit anymore, that they can now do it on their own. We are full of ourselves. In spite of this wisdom still cries in the streets. It beckons those who will listen to come to Jesus the Messiah.

20 Wisdom crieth without; She uttereth her voice in the streets:

21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: In the city she uttereth her words, saying,

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge?

23 Turn you at my reproof: Behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

Proverbs 1:20-24
