The Bible describes different types of people that claim to be believers, the children of God or Christians but they are not. The Bible also talks about conflicting morals and opinions between his word and man. Both of these situations have people that have a moral code of right and wrong yet they differ from what the Bible actually says. Many of them genuinely believe they are going to heaven and they are God’s children. God has some very harsh words for these groups of people.

Their Heart Is Far From Me

7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; But their heart is far from me.

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Matthew 15:7-9

These people profess to know God. They give God praise. However, their heart does not follow after God. They do not even know God nor are they saved. They worship God but it it pointless since they are not his and do not know him. They teach man’s doctrine rather than God’s word. Many preachers and pastors teach woke ideology behind their pulpits. This is man’s doctrine not Gods. When you teach anything that does not line up with scripture you are teaching man’s doctrine.

Prior to verses 7-9 above, The Pharisees had approached Jesus to rebuke him for not following scripture the way they thought it should be followed. In other words, they knew the word of God and could quote it but they did not understand it. They could not discern it because their heart was not right with God. This is a result of not having the Spirit of God in your life. They read and study the Bible through the blindness of sin. Then they, through the sinful flesh quote the Bible.

They have the lamp which is the word of God yet they do not have the fuel to turn on the light so they can see where they are going. That power source is the Spirit of God. That is why Jesus called them blind guides. The Pharisees were putting ceremony above the heart which is where sin comes from.

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

20 these are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Matthew 15:19-20

God Comes First

When someone teaches you something not from scripture what do you do? If someone wants you to join a cause or stand up for any group or issue you must 100% always compare it to scripture. You find out everything that they believe and stand for and line it up with scripture. If they give money to causes or issues that fight against God’s word do not give them a penny. They are God’s enemies. They are fighting against God and his word. As Christians we are not to be moved by carnal thoughts and emotions. Our morals and values should all come from scripture, not our understanding of it but rather what it actually says. That requires you to study it as much as possible and pray about what you have studied.

There are many organizations and groups that claim to be fighting for good moral causes yet when you go down the list of what they actually believe and compare them to scripture, many oppose traditional values, the pro-life movement, Christianity, Israel, Jews, The Word of God and so much more. Today many of them openly support immoral sexual sin that the Bible 100% condemns in both the old and the new testament. One well known organization in particular supports witchcraft which is a sin.

Christians are not to be partakers of sin, endorse sin or be associated with sin. Joining or associated with an organization that is full of beliefs that are blatantly against God damages your testimony and your relationship with God. If there is a cause I want to help support, I must first make sure that cause it rooted and grounded in scripture. Then I can join a Christian organization that supports the cause or create my own. The cause must fully support the word of God.

There is only one symbol that I will use to represent me and that is the cross. It makes no difference the issue or concern, I march under the cross. I don’t use a fist or a sign, a flag or gesture. I use the cross alone. As Christians we do have our own flag. We have the Christian flag. We already have a symbol, the cross. As a Christian, If I am to add another title under that it must fall in line 100% with the Bible.

There are many organizations that are Christian based and take a biblical response to tragedy in the world. I recommend Samaritans Purse. Another good one is Operation Blessing. I am not a part of either organization but I do recommend them. Supporting an organization such as these allows you to help spread the truth of God’s love to the world. You will have a greater impact than if you supported a secular organization that opposes God’s word and his people.

Study To Show Thyself Approved Unto God

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Acts 17:11

After we hear a word preached, we must then take that word to the Bible and compare it to scripture and make sure that it is biblically accurate. This is what a noble person does. Remember a little leaven leaventh the whole bunch. In other words, a little sin will spread and corrupt the whole. Do not allow yourself to be associated with any organization or name that deliberately and openly opposes any part of God’s word. This will harm your testimony. Do not willingly financially support a group that is funding anything sinful.

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 3:5-6

We have our own opinions of right and wrong and just and unjust. We have our own set of standards. This is a code of self-righteousness. We are to 100% completely submit these ideas to the word of God. There used to be a lot of talk about being open-minded. This is how we must approach the Bible. Be open minded about the word. Do not set it aside or cast it off because you do not agree with something it says. Everything has a reason and a purpose. God is “All Knowing”, not us. Even if you don’t agree submit to God’s word in spite of this disagreement. Pray about it and God will open your eyes and allow you to see why this particular thing is a sin and the harm it causes.

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

2 Timothy 2:15-16

Patience

Do not be hasty. If you are unsure about any social group, church or organization do not rush in. Do not let people pressure you into taking action. Step back and take it to God in prayer. Study your Bible and thoroughly go over it. Allow yourself to hear all sides and different points of view. Above all line everything up with scripture. If anything does not fit, then do not get involved. Silence is not violence if your voice is part of a group that promotes sin. You are doing more harm than good. Mixing sin and literally any type of “social justice” is a sin.

As a teacher of the Word of God I should never rush in. When something goes viral and is all over the news, I should take a wait and see approach. Never allow others or your own mind, thinking and beliefs to push you into taking action with any sinful group. You only speak on what the Bible says. It would be wise for you to study thoroughly and in great detail what the Bible says about self-defense and crime. Don’t try to look inside a person’s heart. Only God knows what is in a person’s heart. We can, however, judge a deed, an action. We can call sin, sin. Do not make judgements on a situation when all of the details are not brought out. This is one of the types of judging the Bible warns us about.

Remember God is not biased. Neither should we be. If you’re going to call out sin, call it out from every side. Forget about race, politics, culture or any man-made divisions. You are a Christian above all else or you are a sinner period. You cannot be white, black, American, Democrat, Republican first and then a Christian. If that is your situation, then you are living in sin. Nothing can come before God. God defines you. It is idolatry to put anything above God.

When the woman that was caught in the act of adulatory was brought before Jesus she was not left out. Jesus confronted the sin of all of her accusers first. If you have read it then you know one by one they dropped their stones and left. They were correct, however. She was sinning. Jesus however had the right to execute this woman. Jesus had no sin in his life. Jesus however showed grace. He had not come to exact vengeance upon us for our sins at this time. At the end Jesus confronted her and her sin. He never left it out. He told her to stop sinning.

Only God can make a saint out of a sinner. Let’s never forget this. The world can cast saint hood on any one they want but it’s always on a sinner. They vilify the saint. Do not join a group that picks and chooses its own code of morality. There is one law giver and that is God. We are to submit to and adhere to God’s laws and judgements.

Vengeance Is Mine Saith The Lord

Vengeance is not yours. Vengeance is God’s. You are not called ordained, set aside, born, created or whatever else you can think of to act out God’s vengeance. He will do that 100% on his own. In the book of judges, we read that God had set up judges to exact punishment on the unjust. Later the King does this. Today we have our own system. It should seek justice for the victims. If that system is corrupted eventually, we see that God allows a break down in society and major catastrophe happens. One such event if when Israel was taken into Babylonian captivity.

The kings would cause the people to sin. After a while God would punish the people with war. Before that we see plagues. There is a process. You can legally become a part of that process. You can become a judge or a cop. You can run for political office as well. Legally this is what you can do according to scripture. You can also peacefully protest and of course you can always pray. Peacefully protesting should always be under the umbrella of prayer in my opinion.

Thou shalt not kill.

Exodus 20:13

This is referring to illegal killing. In other words, this is referring to murder. You can legally kill. David slew Goliath in the name of the Lord. David has the King, the army and all of Israel behind him. Legally with man David was in his full right to do so. Most importantly David had God’s will and favor to perform this killing. With God there are legal killings and illegal killings. We must obey the laws of the land. If you want to legally kill with God and man, then join the military and go to war with someone that’s an enemy of God. An example is a group of terrorists attacking Israel. Go kill and be at peace with man and God. In this case man means the American and Israeli governments.

An abortion clinic is by Biblical definition committing murder against the unborn. What they are doing is a horrible sin. Can you go and exact God’s vengeance upon them? Of course not. If you attack an abortion clinic in any way you are committing murder.

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:19-21

If the laws are corrupt and will not protect the unborn, then God himself will take care of it on his own time frame. If God chooses to allow it for whatever reason that is God’s business. God will 100% never tell you to go burn down a building or break a window and go shoot up any place. If a voice in your head told you it’s God and you should kill or do harm to a person or a property that voice is lying to you. How do I know this? That voice is contradicting the word of God. God does not contradict himself like some who do not understand the Bible claim he does.

Any voice that tells you to cause violence is from the Devil. You should run to church and tell them they may need to possibly perform an exorcism on you. If nothing else at least have a spiritual battle on your behalf and minister the truth of God’s word to you. Thou Shalt Not kill is a commandment, not a suggestion and it is for us all to follow and obey. If someone commits a crime that should be punished, we have a system that is responsible for that. If that system fails, then God on his own time scale will take care of it.

Physically attacking the police and government property is a sin. It does not matter what your motive or politics are. Whatever justification you come up with or social issue you bring up does not justify this action. You are committing a sin. God has a system and a process. God has no vigilantes. God has no Batman. Even when an angel comes, he is enforcing God’s law within God’s system. He is not a vigilante. He is not acting alone. Everyone including you and me must submit ourselves unto God and his word. His word is the law.

Pray For Your Enemies

Some people think or believe that Christians should not have enemies. Have these people ever even read the Bible? Christians, righteous people have had enemies from the very beginning. Adam and Eve were righteous and then came Satan. Righteous Able was murdered by his own brother Cain. We have books and libraries full of true stories about martyrdom. Today Christians are persecuted and murdered all over the world. The Bible is full of history and scripture verses relating to the enemies of God and his children.

We have a legal process that is established by God to enforce justice upon all who commit crimes. Notice how nobody’s upbringing, culture or class justifies their sin with God. If you have not noticed this, I highly encourage you to read the Bible. Being a victim does not justify you in God’s eyes to steal, assault others or to murder. Regardless of our past we are responsible for our own actions. We have no excuse. So, what do we do when someone commits a crime against us? God wants the legal system to enact justice upon the evil doer but what about us the individual? What about us when we are the victim of a crime?

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Matthew 5

Prayer is underrated. The most powerful thing we can do is to pray. Anyone that dismisses prayer does not understand the power of prayer. If someone is going to Hell in a Hand Basket don’t let the journal be pleasant. It is better for them to suffer now for a short bit and escape hell for all of eternity than to have a life void of any conviction from God and spend eternity in Hell. Some people are absolutely stubborn. If someone is going to go to hell don’t allow them to go there in peace. What am I talking about? Prayer! Pray for your enemies. If their eyes are opened, they will get saved. They will no longer be an enemy.

Paul himself is a prime example of this. He persecuted the church and wanted them sent to prison and killed. The church prayed as a result of the persecution. Paul was later converted. He was an enemy but then became a great ally. Prayer will bring conviction. Don’t think of it as strange that the Bible tells us to pray for them to be blessed. God’s blessings through prayer are unique.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Romans 2:4

You might say “If you really forgive them and love them then you would want the charges dropped and allow them to not go to jail”. That however is an illogical statement. Forgiveness from an individual that was a victim of a crime does not change or wipe away the need for justice. How can you say you are loving when you are exposing all of society to murderers, thieves and criminals that are never taken out of society? There is nothing loving about this at all. You can forgive yet you still have to love all of society and keep everyone’s safety and well-being in mind. It is more loving for everyone to keep a violent or a thieving person behind bars.

You forgive them and love them knowing it is best for them to be in jail. It is not loving to allow a criminal to break into your house while your wife and daughter are in bed sleeping. You must protect them. If you kill the intruder to protect your family, this is an act of love on behalf of your family. Knowing this, how can you say you love the thief and murderer while also advocating he be put in a situation that would put his own life at risk? The situation being (the murderer) breaking into a family’s house whom the family must show they love each other through protecting themselves. It is illogical emotional feelings to think the loving thing to do is allow the criminal to not go to jail.
